Every Friday, the Liturgical team meets at lunchtime. On Friday 18th March, we had a very special guest- Father Emmanuel!

We discussed ways in which the Liturgical Team may be able to support Father Emmanuel and our Parish

Year 5 pupils have created posters to apply for the role of being a JTA (Junior Travel Ambassador).

They have been working with staff from the Enfield Road Safety team to create a project to encourage pupils, staff and parents to walk to school and to stop speeding and unsafe parking around our school.

On Wednesday 2nd March, The Liturgical Team made a Pilgrimage to Westminster Cathedral. We attended a special mass, said by Cardinal Nichols to celebrate the Year of Mercy and joined the procession through the Door of Mercy. After the mass we spent time looking around the Cathedral. We said special prayers and lit a candle.

On Thursday 9th June, fifteen children from Year 5 attended The Good Shepherd Mass with Mrs Johnstone, Mrs Freitas and Miss Pittendreigh. The Mass was said by Bishop John Sherrington at Westminster Cathedral. We had time to reflect on 'The Good Shepherd' and to consider all of the people who help and look after us. We prayed for all those people. We offered our cheque to The Catholic Children's Society and thanked them for all the work they do for our school and our families. After a beautiful service, we had the opportunity to meet Bishop Sherrington and have our photograph taken with him! We walked to St James' Park and ate our lunch sitting on the grass verge opposite Buckingham Palace. All the children, and their teachers, had a wonderful day.

Children in Year 3, 4 and 5 who made their First Holy Communion this year took part in a special celebration of the sacrament. It was a lovely, prayerful day and the children looked wonderful in their outfits. Well done and congratulations!

Bury St Edmund's trip. The children performed the story of St Edmund on stage at the Theatre Royal, to a local school. It was a fantastic performance which took 3 months to put together.

Keisha, in 5.1, was the lucky winner of a brand new BMX bike. She was entered into the prize draw because she scooted to school every day, for 2 weeks, during our Big Pedal event.

Year 5 classes went on a History Walk with Mrs Pearson to learn more about our local area. They found out about Ermine Street - one of the main Roman roads, the Domesday Book, the despicable ways of railway companies, failed property speculation, Charity Schools, murderous daughters, romantic poets and how to trick the devil!

June 2016: KS2 went on pilgrimage to the Year of Mercy Holy Door in St. George's in Enfield. It was a prayerful time to reflect on God's loving mercy for each one of us.
