On Thursday 9th June, fifteen children from Year 5 attended The Good Shepherd Mass with Mrs Johnstone, Mrs Freitas and Miss Pittendreigh. The Mass was said by Bishop John Sherrington at Westminster Cathedral. We had time to reflect on 'The Good Shepherd' and to consider all of the people who help and look after us. We prayed for all those people. We offered our cheque to The Catholic Children's Society and thanked them for all the work they do for our school and our families. After a beautiful service, we had the opportunity to meet Bishop Sherrington and have our photograph taken with him! We walked to St James' Park and ate our lunch sitting on the grass verge opposite Buckingham Palace. All the children, and their teachers, had a wonderful day.
Children in Year 3, 4 and 5 who made their First Holy Communion this year took part in a special celebration of the sacrament. It was a lovely, prayerful day and the children looked wonderful in their outfits. Well done and congratulations!
