30 Year 6 children have had an experience they will never forget this year – they performed at the Royal Opera House. As part of the OperaQuest programme (part of the Prince’s trust) our children took part in 4 workshops in which they learned about the art of opera, sang songs from La Boheme and indeed wrote their very own song, which they performed in the Paul Hamlyn Hall at the iconic London building. It was here that they met world famous opera singer Danielle de Niese, who very kindly posed for photographs and signed autographs. The programme finishes on Monday 7th July when the children will be viewing a performance of La Boheme in the main auditorium at ROH.
It has been a wonderful experience for everybody involved.
Well done to the choir who performed at the Enfield Mayor's Choral Award final in which they finished 3rd. Our choir were selected from all over the borough of Enfield so this was a wonderful achievement.
The school were lucky to receive a visit from a brass band! The children got to listen to the experts talk through a demonstration, play some songs and some were lucky enough to even have a go themselves!
We created brilliant rhythm and sound when we drummed samba-
