we played out first league match yesterday against Fleecefield and won 8-1
The chess final between Nathan and Titus was a challenging game which carried on for a long time.
The first couple of moves proved that it was going to be a difficult match. Nathan moved his Bishop out of his base and took Titus's Rook. This meant Titus couldn't take Nathan's Bishop. Titus then made a smashing move with his Knight that put Nathan's King in check.
Later on, Nathan took the lead with a smart move that tore apart Titus's defence and that move took Titus's knight. After Nathan had taken Titus's last Knight, it looked like Nathan was heading for the home straight. The atmosphere felt tense as Titus made his last move. It was Nathan's turn. CHECKMATE! Nathan punched the air triumphantly. He had won the game. They both congratulated each other for their brilliant performances.
Now the next Chess Challenge for Nathan is:

Our school (ST. Edmunds) played a football match against Woodside School (Dr. Richmond’s School). Dr. Richmond picked us up in his mini bus, he turned on the radio and the team were singing and joking on the way there as we were very excited. The squad included Ezra, Me (Remell) Lawrence, Kai, Artur, Nathan, Oliver, Rafael and Morris. When we got to his school we had a surprise Mrs. Hanley was there too!
After we arrived, we went to the field and did a few movements and stretches to warm us up the ref blew the whistle (the ref was a former Spurs/QPR football player). The match started and we were ready to play, we had rolling subs, we played 15 minutes each half. At the final whistle we had victoriously won the game 5-3 with Lawrence scoring a magical 4 goals and Ezra scoring a great goal also Rafael and Morris made a good start on their day – views.
We had juice and freshly baked cookies baked by their cook. We took a team photo with the other team, we left their school and arrived safely back to our school. We had a great time hope we play them again.
In the club we practiced different routines and we put them all together. We will be performing the routines in the theatre. We begin at 3:15 to 4:30. We have a great time because we are with our friends and we have a great teacher, Mrs Pope. Mrs Pope lets us share our ideas and we put it in the routine. We show each other our ideas and if we all think its good we will put it in our performance.
Before we start dancing we always do a warm up . We watch videos and take some dance routines from the videos and put it in our performance. We also make up our own dance routine.
I really enjoy the Street Dance Club because it teaches us to be confident, how to perform and most importantly how to dance.
Thank you fir taking the time to read my report.
