Odd Socks Day 2021
Anti-Bullying Week
This year, the theme was ‘One Kind Word’. The isolation of the last year has underlined how small acts of consideration can break down barriers and brighten the lives of the people around us. This is one of the reasons that 'One Kind Word' was chosen this year.
To celebrate this week, our school took part in Odd Socks day on Wednesday 10th November.
In the classroom, the children watched a clip from the Anti-Bullying Alliance to introduce the week and discussed the ideas, vocabulary and the children’s gave their responses. They were guided to choose one word for the class going forward for the rest of the term. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJQg2JyQ3mM
All the children were also given the chance to enter a competition, creating either a poster or acrostic poem about this year’s theme. The winning entries can be seen on this page along with a selection of the other entries and prizes were awarded to the winners!
