Well done to all the children in Year 3,4,5 and 6 who came to Lee Valley for the District sports event. There were different events, like hurdles, relay, and different track events. We did not come first, but out of 14 schools across the borough we did well! All the children enjoyed taking part at Lee Valley!
This afternoon, KS2 enjoyed a fantastic interhouse football tournament under glorious sunshine. It was a triumphant day for St. George’s, who showcased brilliant teamwork to win the tournament and proudly retain the cup once again!
Well done to the children who took part in this year's Panathlon at Lea Valley. They enjoyed the event and came in 3rd place.
Well done to the Year 5 and 6 children who took part in the basketball tournament at Bishop Stopford School. They played 9 matches with schools from across the borough. We scored in every match, and won six. All the children played well, and worked well as a team!
1-0 the girls football team rises to the occasion again!
The girls' football team went to Edmonton county and vs galliard school, a team 2x bigger than us. We had a bit of time to practise, then the whistle blew. Everyone was clueless but in the first 2 minutes we had scored a goal from an exceptional player. It was the most surprising thing that happened in the football match. We stated our place from the start. So we continued and played brilliantly for the first half. The second half came. It was going fine, then Galliard came into our box and shot a powerful shot, but our amazing goalkeeper saved it. We conceded a goal in the last second, but it didn’t count because the whistle blew, leaving us at victory. WE WON THE MATCH.
Year 6 led a solemn and prayerful presentation of the Stations of the Cross, guiding us through Christ’s journey to Calvary. Their thoughtful participation invited our whole school community to reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice and love during this Lenten season.
We took part in our final High 5 netball match. Over the past few weeks, we have played different schools from around the borough. Unfortunately, we lost the match, but we worked hard as a team and have been improving all the time. Well done to the children in years 5 and 6 who took part.
Well done to the group of children who took part in the annual Dance Festival at Millfield Theatre on Thursday 19th March. Their performance was excellent, they all did well. The children who performed were from Year 6, 5 and year 1. They had a great day, as even the Mayor of Enfield came to see the performances.
Well done to the girls from Year 5 and 6 who went to the Power League last Thursday to play the first round of their league matches. They did very well working as a team. Their first match was against Fleecefield. We had possession of the ball most of the time, and scored a goal! But in the last few minutes of the game, they equalised. Final score 1-1.
A great team effort!
Our second match was against Eldon. They are top of the league, it was a hard game, and we nearly scored in the last few minutes. Unfortunately, it was 0-0 at the final whistle.
The girls played both games well and worked as a team! Well done, keep it up!
Well done to the boy's football team. They won every game up to the final match, which ended with us losing on penalties. They are great performers and should be proud of themselves.
