  • Well Done Year 6!

    Published 11/05/22

We want to congratulate all of our Year 6 pupils on their hard work during this week’s assessments. We are proud of how they have approached the national examinations. This year, children have been working incredibly hard, especially the last few weeks, while attending Breakfast Club and extra tuition sessions.

Whilst important, the tests can only measure your children’s attainment on the day, in reading, maths, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Your end of year report will give a broader overview of your child’s achievements and successes across the year.

Thank you to all the parents who have given such positive support to the children, school and staff for the SATs tests. I am sure that you will appreciate how hard everyone has worked to prepare children for the tests and ensure that a balance has been maintained with the other subjects in the curriculum.

Thank you to all the adults who have been involved in supporting and preparing the children for this week.

Year 6, we are very proud of you!
    Well done!
Let the count-down to school journey begin... :-)

Each term, St Edmund's changes which pupils have the privilege to wear a Red Tie! Ten new children from Year 6 have been chosen by their teachers who have been excelling in everyday school life. This group demonstrates our school motto 'Love, Care, Share' every day. They are excellent role models to the younger children because of their effort, resilience and big smiles!

From collecting registers, helping in the dinner hall, setting up games during wet breaks, they have already justified why they have been chosen. They will continue in this role until the end of the school year.

  • Comic Relief 2022

    Published 18/03/22

Like thousands of schools up and down the country, today St Edmund's have joined in the Comic Relief fun!

As well as special assemblies, classroom activities and games, children were invited to come to school in blue and yellow clothes to show support of Ukraine.

Children also watched a number of staff compete in 'The Masked Dancer', and over the past few days, pupils have shared jokes online. Each class then chose their favourite. The winning joke was...

Why can't Elsa from Frozen have a balloon?

Because she will only 'LET IT GO...LET IT GO!'

As a school, we have raised an incredible amount of money, and this year half will be going to a charity to help those in Ukraine. Thank you for all your wonderful efforts, to help those during this challenging time.

    Well done everyone!
