Well done to the KS1 children who attended the gymnastics festival at Southbury Rd leisure centre. They were so excited and happy, they did very well and received medals for their achievement.
Year 2 had a very exciting and hands-on experience at Edmonton local fire station. They had the unique opportunity to step into the shoes of real-life heroes-the firefighters! From exploring the impressive fire engines up close to having the chance to use the huge fire hoses, the Year 2 children were not only entertained but also gained valuable insights into the crucial role firefighters play in our community. The trip was a perfect blend of fun and learning and linked well with our recent topic ‘The Great Fire of London.’
Our team made a valiant effort at Bush Hill Park School with great teamsmanship and impressive skills. Well done boys!
Thank you for your kind and generous donations to Children in Need, which ties in with our Catholic Social Teaching theme - Preferential Option for the Poor and our motto focus of Love for Others. The children had a great time getting active for Children in Need as they took part in archery, trampolining and other fun activities. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Foundation Sports who supplied a coach to oversee the trampolining at no cost to the school as a sign of goodwill to help our fundraising efforts for Children in Need.
Our Forest School sessions have now finished. A range of children from Year 4 and 5 had an hour and a half every Tuesday for 6 weeks under the guidance of Melissa from Twiggles Explorers learning about bush craft and the great outdoors. But, more than that, they learned important life skills and developed their communication, self-esteem and confidence through games and literacy development. The grand finale, however, occurred in the final week, in which the children took part in a campfire on which they cooked marshmallows!
Well done to the netball team who played their first match of the season at Latymer Secondary School. Our first match was cancelled, but our second, against Houndsfield, we won 5-0! It was a great team effort from everyone.
Reception had their first Liturgy, a welcoming event held in our school hall. The Liturgy was presented by Father Gerry, who lead the welcoming Liturgy for reception. They received a special gift from our parish priest that contained a rosary and a Daffodil bulb given to them to grow.
We thank all the parents and Father Gerry for attending.
A fantastic celebration made by our year 3 class this year celebrating the Harvest. Well done to year 3 and a big thank you to the parents for bringing the Harvest to St Edmund's this year. Thank you.
Well done to the Year 5 and 6 boys who played their first league matches on Wednesday 4th October.
They played 3 matches; Meridian Angel, Galliard and Raglan. We won our first match 3-0 and lost to Galliard 1-0 and Raglan 2-0.
Everyone played brilliantly, and the goalie made some great saves! A fantastic effort from everyone in the team!
Saying a big goodbye to year 6 well done! Wishing you all the best on your new journey.
A big! Well done to KS1 in winning 3rd place in the Panathlon Challenge event.
