About Us

Head teacher Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to St. Edmund’s Catholic Primary School.

St Edmund’s is a welcoming, nurturing school, which has a unique way – the ‘St Edmund’s Way’. There is a special atmosphere and unity inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus and the important motto of ‘Love, Care, Share’. This message holds an important place in my heart, having attended the school as a child and returning as a teacher between 2010-2019. Therefore, I will ensure that the spiritual ethos and the highest expectations of education and behaviour are maintained.

As a Catholic school, we endeavour to follow in the footsteps of Jesus so that every member of the St. Edmund’s community treats each other as they themselves would like to be treated. This leads to a happy and friendly community where parents, staff and governors work together to achieve the best education for every one of our children.

Our vision at the school is to ensure that the needs of all our children are met in all areas of school life and that each child is given a wealth of experience and opportunities. I firmly believe in celebrating success and making sure everyone knows they are loved by God. Here at St Edmund’s, we have a wonderful staff who have a passion and drive to ensure that this happens at our school. It is also our firm belief that the relationship between home and school is vital for pupils to thrive and develop a love of learning alongside values for life.

My overall goal as Headteacher is simple – to ensure that each and every child, in Christ’s image, develops their full potential to become the very best that they can be so that when they leave our community, they are prepared spiritually, morally and academically for the next stage of their lives.

I am extremely proud to lead the school and excited to work with our children, parents and staff in the years ahead.
