Special Educational Needs & Disabilities

Hello,

My name is Ms Graves and I am the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) at St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School.  I work with Mrs Willmott who is the SENCo for Early Years.  Our aim is to ensure that all children with SEN have the support they need.  We work with you, your child, their teachers and support staff to identify individual needs and together plan a curriculum that will enable them to achieve their full potential.

St Edmund’s is an inclusive school, committed to nurturing all children to achieve their full potential academically, spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, culturally and morally.  We celebrate and value the uniqueness of every child and have high expectations of each individual learner.  Every child has access to a broad and balanced curriculum.

We are committed to on-going training and professional development so that teachers and staff are well equipped to support children’s needs.  We liaise with a wide range of professionals who offer support to individuals, groups of children and their teachers.

If you have any concerns about your child’s learning or development, please contact me or, if your child is in Reception or joining Reception, Mrs Willmott on 020 8807 2664.

We recommend that you choose activities to do with your child that add up to about an hour a week.  Please let your children's teachers know what you have been up to on the class's Google Classroom stream.

If you have any questions, suggestions or feedback please contact Ms Graves or Mrs Willmott.  Enjoy!
