Parent Survey

St Edmund’s is fully committed to providing the best standard of Catholic education for our children. As part of this commitment, it is very important that there is feedback from parents on key issues facing the school, and we gather this feedback through our annual survey. The children, Governors and staff will be completing a similar survey within school.

All feedback and observations are important to us and the results will help us to:

  • Find out what we're doing well and where we could do better
  • Decide which areas to prioritise when developing our school improvement plan
  • Make sure we're meeting the needs of you and your children

Based on your feedback last year we have:

  • Significantly increased the amount of after school clubs.
  • Changed our strategy in how homework is delivered.
  • Started to provide curriculum workshops to parents
  • Brought back coffee mornings
  • Shared our behaviour approach online and during parent consultations.
  • Changed our collection process at the end of the day to be easier for parents who are collecting several children.
  • Increased the number of cultural capital activities across the school.

Below you will be able to find key results from 2022 to 2023 parent survey.

  • The school will explore the possibility of a homework club for children to attend once a week across Key Stages 1 and 2.
  • Senior leaders will continue to strengthen ties between the school and the church.
  • The school will look to further signpost parents to external agencies who can help the progress of their children.
  • Parents will be encouraged at the start of each term to look at the Curriculum section of our school website, where the next areas of learning for their children can be found.
